Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and professional Unarmed Security Officer to join our team at a residential community. This position focuses on maintaining a safe and secure environment for residents, guests, and property staff.
The officer will be responsible for monitoring the property, managing building access, conducting patrols, and maintaining a visible security presence. The ideal candidate is dependable, observant, and able to remain calm and professional while handling a variety of situations.
This position is well suited for officers looking for a stable post with consistent hours in a residential environment.
Responsibilities
- Monitor building entrances and exits
- Control access to the property by verifying residents, guests, and vendors
- Conduct routine foot and/or vehicle patrols of the property
- Maintain a visible security presence throughout the shift
- Observe and report suspicious or unusual activity
- Assist residents and guests when appropriate
- Complete Daily Activity Reports and incident reports
- Respond appropriately to incidents and notify management when required
- Enforce property policies and security procedures
Qualifications
- Previous security experience preferred
- High school diploma or GED
- Active DC Security Officer License
- Strong observation and communication skills
- Ability to write clear and accurate incident reports
- Professional appearance and demeanor
- Ability to work independently and remain attentive during overnight shifts
- Reliable and punctual
Additional Note
Candidates must be dependable and able to maintain professionalism while working in a residential environment.
Compensation: $19.00 - $21.00 per hour
